So, periodically since January of this year, I let Sam run naked until he has an accident, then judge his potty-readiness based on his response. So, last Friday, we tested him and he was upset when he peed on the floor. For the rest of the day, he was diaperless! After just 2 hours, he was running to the bathroom, held his potty cup, peed into it, dumped it into the toilet and asked for "help, Mama!" So, I guess this is his time. He's still young, so I'm not pressuring him to go all day without a diaper and when he asks for one, I give him one (I don't want him to stress). It's been six days now and the only pee accidents he's had have been on the bathmat (which washes well thankfully) when he misses his potty cup (the insert into his potty seat). He had one #2 accident, his first not wearing a diaper and one where he didn't quite make it (I heard him shout, "Help Momma, I dropped it on the baffroom floor!") I hope I can delete this post before Sam starts school!)
