Practice Makes Perfect?!?

One resolution this year was to increase my photographing in a way that developes my skill (not just random shooting like last year, but systematic study and practice). I had a fantastic time while Uncle Mikie was here, but I need to work on capturing my very fast very cute little boy in various lighting conditions. It's a work in progress, but I do feel quite hopeful after this weeks efforts :)

Which one is your favorite?

Here's some extras...
Sam tried to blow dandelions...when he was done tasting them, he turned his attention to a tulip :(

About a year ago, Sam had his 7 month photo taken in this tree.

This year, he was quite worried about giving the tree an 'owie'

March 9th last year...

We're retiring Sam's sweater...maybe I'll dig through the archeives for some a proper tribute...maybe tomorrow...

Adam's laying Sam down so here's an oldie or two (Oct 06, Sam was 2 months):

With the fine weather comes lots of outside time, which translates into lots of photo time :)

I LOVE the first one. Such a serious expression but such a fabulous shot! So professional looking! And I must say that your photography skills HAVE improved so much this year already so you should be very proud of yourself! =)

I like the fourth one in the first set and the second one in the second(?) set... the one with the cane, is it?

Very good shots!

I vote number 1, then 2, then the last one (hey, the shorts look really good from here). I cannot believe the difference that a year has made in Sammy and in your skill!! What a little sweetheart! (from Grammie). Mom
