(Sorry that this got lost amungst the vacation photos!)
So, at 18 months, Sam has Adam and I asking each other "did you teach him that?" on pretty much a daily basis. I think Sam's memory is what stuns us the most. For example, I was chatting with Mel last week on the phone. Since Samuel had taken a liking to her at Christmas (we visited Melanie and Nick one evening), I asked him if he'd like to say "hi" to Melanie...his reply...'Nick!' Not in a questioning kind of way, but in a yeah, I remember you kind of shout :)
Need another example? No prob...I've got lots :) Two nights ago, Samuel woke up wide awake and asking for 'noodles.' I'll do just about anything for this kid, but cooking pasta at 2:30am is not on my list...so I reply 'Momma doesn't have any noodles.' Sam then says, in the following order: 'hard noodles,' 'cook,' 'hot water pot.' (Most nights, while I'm making super, he watches either from my arms or from a nearby chair and I tell him step by step what I'm doing...I didn't think it'd come back to bite me!)
Feb 23rd, Simply Sam...
