Jan 16th, Handmade gifts...

Sam didn't exchange Christmas gifts with his friends this year, but we did receive a super special gift from my bestfriend Nancy (aka Owen's Mommy). When I opened it, I remembered that Nancy'd said that she'd be sending Sam's gift anyway...that it'd been meant for his birthday but that it wasn't ready in time...it sounded like something personalized for Sam and since I was sending a package for her new babies (that's right...TWINS!), I conceded. It was beautiful and thoughtful and so appreciated...that my dear friend would think of us enough to have someone make a wonderful birth announcement. Then I was talking to Nancy today, one last time before she's officially the mother of three, and she told me that she cross stitched this herself! I knew she's been doing cross stictch as long as I've known her (which is a long time!), but I'd never seen anything like this that she'd made! Now I'll treasure it even more :) She has more pics on her website... http://nancyandscott.blogspot.com/

I had a ton of knitting to do in December for January birthday parties and for three of Sam's friends-to-be (Nancy's twins and Heather's newest). Here's what I turned out...no wonder I did only two photo shoots in over Christmas (which I just posted last night on www.dewphotos.blogspot.com) :)

We've got two more birthdays within the next month, so I best get knitting :) But I will post some more Sam pics first, don't worry :)
