Another year has flown by and I've got to say that we are so blessed! And it's just not that we're heathly (which we are), or that we live in excess (which we do), or that we're home with our families to celebrate Christ's birth (which we were), but that we live in the peace and grace of knowing our heavenly Father.
We *carefully* explained to Sam that Christmas is Jesus's birthday and that we like to give each other a special gift to help us remember that Jesus is God's special gift to us. (We're not doing Santa or tons of gifts.) Sam was phsyced!
Time again for our annual family Christmas photos. My assistant readied the tripod...
Christmas Eve, we went as a family to the Baptist church for the candle light service. Then after Sam was asleep, Adam and I snuck out to mass. Christmas morning we woke up at Grampy Gill's house.
Sam helped Grampy pass out the presents...
The bracelets Michelle made for me on the scrapbook I made for Mike...
Michelle took this next set...
Christmas afternoon, we went to Mom and Wayne's house...

Everytime I'm with these two, I am overwhelmed by how much I love and miss them! Maybe they'll make good on their life goals of mooching off of my husband (ok, that's only Mike's plan...and I *think* he's joking...fingers crossed that it's a joke!)
Sam helped 'Sylvester' eat some cat grass...
Christmas at the Dyker's on Boxing Day (We *thought* that we could avoid the manic rush of three Christmases in one day and all the driving by sharing Christmas with one set of parents on Boxing Day. All I can say is that by 10am I was begging Adam to drive to Quispam...of course we'd just been there Christmas Eve and we were going Boxing Day, but it was hard not to see them on Christmas Day proper. Adam agreed wholeheartedly, missing his parents and siblings, but was more logical about driving time vs visiting time (like 3 hrs driving for 10 mins...although his mom did exactly that the first day we flew in). Anyway, hopefully hopefully hopefully, we can host Christmas this coming year and all of our parents and siblings can come visit us!)
My Mom's family Christmas Party...
most pics I took were on my mom's camera, so I'm waiting for a cd in the mail (hint, hint :) )
