It was kite day at California Citrus State Historic Park. I thought Sam would LOVE the kites (since he pretends to fly kites...anything with a long string, including my wide-brim hat :) and unfinished knitting projects :( ) but he was more interested in just running!

Xander definately was the best kite flyer...he's the only kid who got into it!
Wyatt was kind to share his truck with Sam...
Sam wasn't so willing to share Wyatt's truck with Mace...
Say, "look at me!"
It always starts so innocently...
But atleast Max didn't get hurt (this time)...
Sam did a lot of running :) Thankfully he's napping now...unlike yesterday...
Spontaneous hugs for Max...
Cathy brought a bubble machine, which kept the kids running!
Orange blossoms are now my favorite scent ;)
Riverside is the home of the navel orange...did you know that? Here's some more info on citrus...
Thousands of citrus trees...
The smell was amazing! You can see the white blossoms...
Sam is really into holding hands...he now intertwines his fingers like he's seen Adam and me do...he calls it putting your fingers in the "thlumb holes." He was so happy to hold hands with Emily...once he got their fingers arranged 'right.'

Orange trees are great, unless you happen to be allergic to them. I remember my first trip to Florida with Sarah, it was around Sebring, and there are a ton of orange groves around there. I sneezed whenever an orange truck drove past us or we drove past an orange grove. Not a whole lot of fun.
Who own the paw print?....looks like a wide open space for a run around....
the paw print, we think was a mountain lion! The lawn mowers were out in the area we were playing though, so no danger of attack :)
Running is great!!!!
There are suppose to be mountain lions in the hills there. We only ever saw wild donkeys.
no mountain lions here, but deer looking in our windows! What a great place to play. Uncle Glen's pigs may not be here by the time you get back. they are looking pretty tasty. I hope Sam doesn't remember them. Mom
