July 31st, Another Month Gone!

I can't believe that another month is gone...time is just flying by! We've been busy planning and organizing for our big move at the end of THIS (!!!) month and somehow July just ghosted by me...

What's new?

I'll be teaching some intro photography courses thru Oromocto Leisure Services (ie. Parks and Rec) one morning a week, four evenings and Saturday mornings (the schedule isn't finalized) and I'll be watching my nephew Brendan after school (!!! I've wanted to do this since he was born and am so glad that it'll work out that he can spend so much time with us while Adam is home!). Somewhere in there, we'll celebrate Brendan's 7th birthday and Grampy Gill's birthday and have a couple housewarming parties at our new house! Oh, but I guess we should move in first :) We've now had the movers thru to quantify our belongings, next we need a quote and then a PO...so a few more hoops to jump through.

As much as I'm excited to get home and settled, I'd dreading leaving my friends in Riverside (and Santa Monica) behind. I've got some firm promises for future visits and I know that distance isn't a barrior for best friends (Nancy whose been in Winnipeg for 10+ years), but it's still going to be hard. We're preparing Sam as best we can, but he just doesn't get it. He swears that Rachon, Max and Jared are going on the plane with us and that Sam will get a new bed and he will sleep on top and Max will sleep on the bottom. It breaks my heart to even think of separating them!

Adam is working hard as always. It's his birthday tomorrow, so we'll celebrate his 29th birthday with a cake that Sam and I made today (watch for photos, the design was Sam's interpretation of what his Daddy really really wanted!) and some pizza (Pizza Hut this time, which is Adam's favourite). He'll get a little squash in as well! Sunday, we're going to Pasadena with Mike and April (our Canadian friends), who are also moving back home (to Ontario) pretty soon. It's hard to believe that Adam isn't even 30 yet (which he teases me, who is 30, about) and he's got a fantastic son who just this morning said "Dad, when I grow into an adult I want to be just like you" (Adam replied "well, I think you'll be taller than me" and Sam said "No, I will be exactly like you not taller!"), a devoted wife who adores him more everyday, a beautiful new home, his dream job in his dream location(ie close to family), and in less than a month he'll be close to his parents and siblings and my/his new family :) Life is good! There's no denying that Adam has worked hard for what he/we have, but we'd have nothing if God didn't bless us so abundantly and if Adam didn't have the wisdom to look for God's way. I'm so extremely thankful for God's second best gift to me...there's almost nothing that makes life easier than a wise husband to lean on :)

Anyway, my sleepless nights are creaping up on me! Sam's got an ear infection, but, thanks to another HUGE blessing in my bf Rachon, he's on antibiotics today (as am I for a sinus infection) and although the meds won't shorten the time it takes to heal, I am still hoping for a better night tonight!!!

Here's a few misc. videos from the past couple weeks, along with some pictures from MoVal with Tami, Ashton and Ryan...
