Our trip went well. Sam came up with the phrase, "Are we at the airport yet, Momma?" on our way to LAX yesterday evening. Adam and I were very impressed...until he repeated that classic travelling question about 20 times! The flights went well, with Sam, although he had a hard time settling to sleep...he ended up with 2.5 hours of sleep and Adam and I got about 1 hour each...it was rough! But Sam's humour was good, so the rest of the trip went smoothly.
We were greeted at the airport by Nana and Brendan, Grampy Gill and Michelle and then Nannie came to Grampy Gill's house for a quick visit before we all crashed for a nap :) It's always so comforting to know that there's so many close family so excited to see you!
Adam got away for his fishing trip / bachelor party in the Maramachi around 5pm, then we had supper with Grampy Gill and Mike, then went to watch Brendan's last night of baseball with Nana. I took about 150 pictures!!! I won't post that many, don't worry :)
Sam has an interesting quark. Whenever we go to any playground, Sam looks to find the biggest kid then follows them around. Sam was desprite to join the big kids in their baseball game. He'd even settle a play in the dirt. Nana and I had a tough job keeping him off the field! Brendan has had a fun time with ball this summer. He favoured soccar to baseball, just because you get to run around more, but overall, he's had a good time and learned alot about listening to adults and playing with new friends. Michelle was an assistant coach which was anything but fun for her, but just another thing to add to her long list of things that make her a great Mom :)
With the game finished, Sam wasted no time joining the big kids on Brendan's team for some skills practice...the equipment that bored Sam just minutes ago was now very interesting :P
