Just a reminder of how big bear (aka. Shooter Doggy) used to be...

Shooter didn't want to be held today, so he helped Sam from a distance...

So, where was the Sam's special knit blanket??? I've been wondering that question myself. All I knew was that it is somewhere is Canada :( That is until...

You might wonder how Sam beloved blanket ended up in my Gram's old tea kettle...and I can only answer that it's a Sam thing. He's obsessed with all things tea related: tea bags, tea cups, tea kettles...and plays with them whenever possible.
So, if you're a devotee, you probably get that Sam is quite verbal. The thing is, words NEVER fail him. When in doubt, he makes it up (my favorite was momas: the act of pulling up your sleeves). The other thing is that Sam really, really likes knowing people's names, so when we don't know the people, he makes up their names (not like Bob or Sue, but Golfordy or Irvanit).
Sam's speech has developped further, since I last reported. I notice these changes most when I listen to he and Adam speak, like this conversation a couple weekends ago:
Daddy: "So, is that Uncle Ron's tractor?" (Sam was driving a toy tractor thru playdough at the table)
Sam: "No, Daddy. This one is similar to Uncle Ron's tractor."
Today, I was in the shower and Sam was watching Curious George. I called to him (to make sure he wasn't getting into trouble) and he came bounding up saying, "Yes, Mommy, do you need help with something?" He was so earnest and sweet!
At bedtime, Sam was in his crib and I was hanging by the door, trying to convince him to laydown so that I could sing Rock-a-bye. Sam says, "Mommy, I just want you to stand there so I can speak to you." He's really into discussing things like the events of the day, books, movies, made up things, etc. all right before bed...
