October 21st, Fall Family Fun!
We went with Tami and Glen north to Oak Glen on a day trip. It was super sweet of them to invite us, especially since it meant that they drove 2 cars (in the absense of our one car). Although I'm not sure where exactly we were (I've been too lazy to google maps it), it was beautiful! Such a welcome reminder that the seasons are not just a dream...

Sheep and Sam say 'baaa, baaa...'

I'm a horse-boy...where's the horses?

Hmmm, so I have to find the perfect pumpkin...

I think this one is too small...

Ashton and Sam meandering through the pumpkin path...

Is this one too big?

Keep hunting boys...

I'm pretty sure that these flowers are fake (gotta love SoCal life!), but they held Sam's attention well...

beautiful color!

On our way to the bakery; more fall colours (question: did you take a picture of every orange/yellow/red leaf that you saw? answer: yes. the only non-green leaves around here are dead ones, so I had to take advantage :) )

Proof that I'm good to Sam (I've been teased for feeding him exclusively health foods)...homemade apple fritter...so tasty!!!

Now that's a satisfied Sam!

Ashton is the sweetest kid! Everytime he and Tami drive by our block, he says 'go Ham's house?'

This is a 'baby' redwood (as compared to those in norther California)...trust me, it's pretty darn huge!

look waaaaay up!

Ashton with a redwood...

So handsome!

Time to head home...

Since this is cowboy/ranch country, I thought this was an appropriate photo to round out the day...

Awwww we so loved going to the mountains when we were in California!
Staying inside due to the smoke must be hard! Hang in there!
