Happy Easter!

We had a turkey dinner tonight (turning on the oven here is a last resort, since it heats up the apartment so much!); we bought a turkey breast (done like the rotisary chickens back home) and a potato and some veggies...I asked adam if we should get a pumpkin pie...he declined. We both agreed afterwards that we should have had pie :( Despite the lack of pie, it was a very good meal...Sam was not as fond of his carrot and pea medley (nicer than saying mush)...I can't beleive I'm still talking about food!
We gave Samuel a bucket and shovel set and cargo pants from Nannie (thanks Nannie!). He's now been playing with each item, in turn, for the last 45 mins! He throws one item, picks up another, studies it, chews it, waves it in the air, throws it and crawls (that's right, I said crawls!!!) over to another item. Op, there's a new trick, Sam just ran the little shovel along the ground and is now banging the big shovel with it. Oh, did I mention the chewing...I think his top teeth are coming in.
Adam is going to his church tonight solo since it runs 9pm to 11pm. Tomorrow morning we'll go to my church ( I hope that we sing "Up from the Grave, He Arose!" otherwise I'll be singing it all day...who am I kinding, I'll sing it all day anyway! It is Easter after all!). Tomorrow, my mom is cooking a dinner and Monday Michelle is cooking for Dad and company. I'll miss taking part :-( And I'll miss the sunrise service tomorrow morning at Oromocto Baptist, my brother is speaking...oh well, there's always next year! You know, Good Friday isn't even a holiday here! Last Friday was Ceasar Chevez day...I think he was a president of Mexico...I guess Californians have their priorities...I just don't agree with them.
Enough typing, enjoy these pictures (notice how well Sam is sitting now!)

Nathan got the exact same toy set from his Nan and Grampy MacPherson! Those grandparents sure have good taste!

Can't wait to see the crawling pictures! Sam is growing up so fast!

Happy Easter!

You're funny Erin! Good Friday is a holiday in Wisconsin! You just can't get a good fish fry out here! Oh and Cesar Chavez rallied and created unions for farm workers! I didn't get the day off though :/
