July 4th, Oh Say Can You See...

...those crazy Canadians in the dessert...

We headed to Joshua tree NP again...

In honor of Independance Day, Sam and I showed our patriotism...







While we took photos and Sam played in the shade of the Durango back, Wayne climbed this hill...see if you can find him :)
There he is...at the top (I think...I can't really see him...) but he did make it to the top and we do have photos and video evidence :)

Some Joshua trees on the road to Keys View lookoff...Keys View...believe it or not, visibility was actually good today...the mist/haze that you see in the background is smog from LA...

A very quick stop at the Cholla Garden...now out of the mountains, the temp was around 110 F...

The afternoon heat was a little much so we headed home to the comfort of my air-conditioned apartment.
