July 1st, Happy Canada Day! Lets Go To LA...

Lots of freeways heading into LA...thanks again to Wayne for driving! Here we come!
We had lunch at Denny's...well brunch...although I saved my pancakes until I got home...I had them with some 100% pure Canadian maple syrup from my Uncle Glen and Aunt Karen...the syrup far out shawn the pancakes :)

These were the only stars we saw :)

There were many characters along Hollywood Blvd...spiderman, wonder woman, tarzan, some Star Wars guys and Laya, Pirates of the Caribian, even Sponge Bob and Mickey...

The El Capitane Theatre and a Disney store... The wax museum...
The Chinese Theatre...
The historic Kodak Theatre...I think award shows and American Idol are filmed here...

Our tour took us around downtown LA

Venice Beach...a crazy busy beach town that seemed to be the place to be...
All seen from the car...

Santa Monica was more our pace...although we stayed away from the ferris wheel and rollar coaster...

Oh, Dada, I sure love you! (Sam had just clawed the back of Adam's neck, causing Adam to make this face...)

Sam was wild in the sand...digging, trying to eat what he dug up, licking the sand on his hands...a good day at the beach!

Mom and Wayne had a blast playing in the waves...the water was like bath water...so nice!

This was the first time that Sam LOVED the water...it was so warm!

Sam loving the wave action!

There's Wayne diving into a big wave...

I thought that Wayne was in this one, but now I'm not sure...
That's a proud Canadian family if I've ever seen one! You know, we were out and about all day with Sam in his very Canadian shirt, shoes and socks and not one person wished us a happy Canada day!
Sand castles as big as Sam!

Looks like you are having so much fun in the California sunshine! Not surprised that no one wished you a Happy Canada Day. American's usually don't know much about Canada. Has anyone asked you if you were from New Brunswick, New Jersey?

Wow what an amazing day! So many different places! Glad you guys are enjoying it all so much!

I hate that we missed saying good bye to you! It was such a crazy time trying to prepare everything for the move.

Let's hope our paths cross again once we are back in Canada.
