May 3rd, Another Needle, Another Band-aid

Samuel weighed in at 19 lb 4 oz and measured 28.5 inches in length. He had the second HepB vacine needle, which made him scream out then cry...and he fell asleep on the bus ride back to campus.

So what has Samuel been up to lately? Another tooth has broken through bringing the total to 7! (4 tops and 3 bottoms) He is pulling up on everything from the couch to me...he loves to stand and shreek with glee. When his hands are free, he claps and smiles so big that we can see his tonsils. He is enjoying our walks more now that he can sit in the grass and pull at grass and leaves or whatever is in his reach...to avoid taste testing, we've started using a blanket from Nannie...yesterday, Samuel even had a picnic of smushed banana! Sam had a cold that came on fast with a fever and snotty nose on Saturday and has fizzled to just a periodic runny nose. And last, but not least (!!!), Samuel is sleeping much better at night-waking only 3 or 4 times each night! Yeah!

This is such a fun time right now...I'm glad that Sam and I are coming home next week to share it with our family :) Even though we'll miss Daddy and he'll miss us :(
