May 16th, More Visiting!

Sam and I are having a great time in NB :) Since the last post, we were at Cathy and Carl's for a couple of days and now we're at my Mom and Wayne's house. Sam is getting settled (he'll actually sit on the floor and play by himself out of my sight!) and is enjoying all of the attention.

Let's see...where to begin...Well, the Maritimes (NB, NS and PEI) are known for their hospitality (more trivia for our US-based audience) and we are so thankful! Sam and I have walked into 3 homes where we've been welcomed with open (and eagar) arms and hearts... it is so good to be home (well, to our 3 homes!) with our family! It's so wonderful to know that whatever happens, we have somewhere to go home to (make that 3 somewheres) :)

Sam gave me 2 Mother's Day cards (one via each grandmom) and a violet (via Grampy Dyker) and he and Adam gave me 2 pairs of earrings and I got cards from Cathy and Carl and from my Mom and my Dad took me out for lunch! I'm spoiled!!! Oh, and my Mom gave Michelle and me each a humorous book on motherhood :)

Adam is making out well. He is eating well and sleeping like a king and is just a touch lonely...but we talk twice each day so it could be much worse. I think of all of the families separated with one in Afghanistan...I have nothing to complain about!

I'm about to give Sam a bath...no big deal right...well, I've NEVER bathed him before in a bath (just sponged him down)...that's one of Adam's treats :0
Soooo, I'm back from the bath...by the time I got in, my Mom had the bath run and Sam stripped down and in the tub with all his toys. Eager to "get my hands wet" (ha, ha), I had Sam standing holding one hand and getting him wet with the other and he tipped sideways and banged his head! He cried, so I cuddled him and (thankfully) he gladly went back in the tub for round two. I got his hair washed and his arms and back soapy, but then his patience ran out, so I'll have to wash the lower half later :(
