August 14th, We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo...
Last night I told Sam about our plans for today...the ZOO!!! All day and night and day, I've had the Raffi (?) song in my head (Jan, you'll know the artist :) )...we're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo; how about you, you , you...
Sam was just looking so cute...I had to take some pics with his new fav ball and his super sweet outfit...
Sam has been in a great mood all week. I think just being calm all day and doing what he wants (while keeping to the "schedule" we've figured out for him) is doing him good (as opposed to the last 2 weeks with the party preparing and moms club hosting)
We went to the San Diego Zoo with some friends today. Although it sucks being so far from home and missing our family and friends, it is nice to be able to go see such cool things like the zoo :)
We tried all day to get a pic of the 2 little boys...this was the best that I could do!
Sam really liked the giraffes...he kept pointing and saying something that I couldn't quite catch :)
Sam loved the koalas...maybe because they look a little like his bear...

After a long, but good, day, the boys took advantage of the long drive home (gotta love rush hour in SoCal!)

August 13th, Another Monday...
Another weekend flew by. We spent most of the time making a surprise for Sam's grandparents (you'll never guess!) that we're hoping to mail this week. Sam and I went to a mom's group this morning (that was great) and had Sam's friend over this afternoon :)
Speaking of flying by: I can't believe my baby is a year old! I finished off his collage this afternoon:
Before we left, we did an impromtu photoshoot...Sam wasn't really into it, so we'll have to try again later...

August 9th, Happy Birthday Sam!
This cake was a chocolate brownie...I think Sam liked chocolate cake better :)
All of Sam's little friends from home remembered his birthday, as did our families...the result:
