March 6th, Another Big Day

Sam and I went for groceries then for a walk with Tami and Ashton (another chemistry wife and her son) then met up with Bonnie and Vincent (another chem wife/son combo) at the gardens...Chelle and Becca couldn't come this time (the flu seems to have taken residence at their apartment :-( ). Little Vincent and Ashton are just under two years old and had a nice shared picnic snack...they even tried to share with Sam (so sweet!).
So, four hours later, we arrived home just as the sun was starting to go down! It was warm today...83 F that's about 28 C, but it's a dry heat that makes me dread summer when it's going to hit above 100F that's like 35C with very low humidity. Over supper, Adam tried to wipe a dark smudge off of my face..turned out it was a frekkle! Yup, my frekkles are coming out already!
Speaking of supper, Samuel tried squash...again, the results speak for themselves! The good news is that the gagging only lasted while he was swallowing (unlike with the carrots, when he gagged from the time the spoon hit his lips through to the after taste!)

March 5th, It's not easy being a baby...

It's hard to nap in the daytime...what with Samuel's room being so light :-) Speaking of napping troubles, Sam is calling me...

March 4, Highest Highes and Lowest Lows

This was a big weekend for my family back home...

There was a BIG family gathering at the Wirral hall yesterday for my Uncle Glen's 50th birthday! I love my family :-) My Aunt Elizabeth shared in the spotlight, since her birthday was just the day before.

And Glen's daughter, my cousin Diana, arranged from out west for her friend to come as a pink bunny to deliver a singing telegram. How cool is that. Diana has been in Alberta for about 3 years now and is hopefully coming home this summer for her first trip back home. Anyway, the bunny was a hit (the kids especially loved it and Glen was so moved that Diana would arrange something so cool)...and off popped the bunny's hood and IT WAS DIANA! There wasn't a dry eye in the house! No one, except the friend that picked her up at the airport, new she was coming!Brendan spent the night at my mom's (Nana'a house)...and with the warm weather, above freezing, they played outdoors...

And now for the bad news...my cousin, Evertt, died suddenly last night of a heart attack. He was in his forty's and leaves behind his wife Donna and teenaged children, Kaleigh and Jake. All of those prayer warriors out there, please pray for his family, including his mom and dad, Joy and Richard and brother and sister (they were extremely close).

March 2nd, Happy Birthday, Nannie!!!

Nannie, on your birthday, I wanted to look back over the year. We've had lots of good times: cuddles, playing, visits to the wax room...I can't wait to see you in April!

March 1st...My Son, the Pin Cushion!?!

Samuel had his 6 month check-up...he's 17lb 14oz and 27 inches (16lb 0oz an 26 inches Dec 15th). He had FOUR NEEDLES! He handled them fairly well, although he did cry during the 2nd needle in each leg. He quickly fell asleep in the front carrier as we left the doctor's office.
